Everyone Knows!!

SO I missed getting on here yesterday! As of Wednesday night, pretty much everyone knew the big NEWS!! Steve just couldn't hold it any longer...lol. Although I didn't think I was ready to tell everyone, I am super relieved that it is done. Everyone had very positive reactions and it was really good to hear all the positive responses. I am still extremely overwhelmed (but excited too!) but I think that it will get better since I have people to talk to about it. My sister in-law, Sarah, is also pregnant (about 12 weeks) and she called today to congratulate us. We talked about what kinds of things the beginnings of pregnancy has put her through, what I am likely to experience, and different advice and questions to ask my obstetrician. I think that it will be really neat that we will have children only a couple months apart and be able to experience certain milestones together (somewhat). It will also be nice that during holidays or just time we visit each other that our children will be around the same age to play together and be in the same "stages" of life...even taking family vacations together could be pretty neat!

Something that I have been having such a hard time with is that we are going to be so far away from all of our families. It will be a big adjustment because both Stephen and I grew up so close to our families and our child isn't going to have that. I mean I saw my grandparents close to daily, but definitely weekly and just can't imagine a child only seeing his/her grandparents only a couple times a year. I know everything will work out and it won't be so bad, but it still is hard to not think about. I told Steve last night that we will just have to buy a cheap house so we can have more money to travel!! He was okay with that...lol!

As far as the pregnancy goes, I won't really know my due date until my appointment on November 6th, but from what I have figured it should be around the end of June or beginning of July. I haven't really been sick or even nauseous, but my boobs are super big and hurt SO bad!! I also have been more tired than normal, which I hear will get really bad in a few weeks, along with being extremely nauseated and quite possibly puking up the little food I find appetizing enough to eat. Man, the things I have to look forward to!

Tomorrow I start back in clinical after a really long fall break. I only have 64 hours left to log and am extremely excited that within a couple of weeks that will be all done. Then I can start working more and also have more time to rest, if needed. I have a feeling it will be beneficial for me to put in as many hours as I can, so I have more money to buy cute little baby things...yay!
